Asus PadFone Infinity Hands-On!

If the FonePad isn’t up your alley, then maybe the enhanced Padfone Infinity is where you should put your focus. The device follows in the steps of earlier PadFone products, but features beefier hardware and a re-designed insert on the back of the 10.1-inch tablet. Confused? That’s because the Padfone basically has two components: a 10.1-inch tablet and a 5-inch Android smartphone. Plug the phone into the back of the tablet and the device suddenly lights up, allowing you to use the larger display.

The PadFone Infinity packs a 1.7GHz Snapdragon 600 processor with four cores of power, 2GB of RAM, 32GB or 64GB of internal storage, support for LTE networks, NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, a 13-megapixel camera and a 2-megapixel camera for video chat. We’re definitely impressed by the whole package, but we imagine it’s going to cost a bit. Still, you need to consider you’re saving a bit of money by not having to buy both a tablet and a phone.
