If you don’t have the pleasure of living near an Apple Store, you probably have yet to see the upgrades to the layout that were rolled out this weekend. Commonly referred to as “Apple Store 2.0,” rumors started spreading last week that a revamp was coming to the infamous store layout that Apple has even gone so far as to trademark.
What exactly did Apple do? They removed all of the paper description cards and replaced all of them with an iPad 2 for every item. Yes, there is now an iPad 2 next to every item on display in the stores … including the iPad 2s. Considering the company has over 300 stores, is it any wonder there was a shortage of the popular tablets for a while?
