Verizon just sent out press invites for an event it is holding in New York City on Oct. 28. The carrier promises that it will unveil the "newest DROID" to the world on that date. What can we expect? We're pretty confident it will be the new DROID Turbo that has been the subject of several rumors recently.

The DROID Turbo is expected to be quite a powerhouse including a 21-megapixel camera, a Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB of RAM and more. We also suspect it might run Android L, at least if Google does indeed launch it sometime in the very near future. We're also compelled to find out what kind of software Motorola includes this time around. Will it take a barebones approach as it did with the Moto X? Or will it include skins and bloatware that are common among carrier devices?

TechnoBuffalo will be at the event to answer all of these question. It all kicks off on Oct. 28 at 11:00 a.m. Eastern.
