Nokia and Verizon have finally and officially announced the Lumia 928. The device will land in Verizon Wireless stores on May 16 for $99 after a $50 mail-in rebate and with a new two-year contract.

The Lumia 928 runs Windows Phone 8 and is equipped witha  4.5-inch 1280 x 768-pixel ClearBlack display, a 2,000mAh battery, a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor, an 8.7-megapixel PureView camera with both Xenon and LED flash options, a 1.2-megapixel front-facing HD camera, 1GB of RAM, 32GB of storage and 7GB of free SkyDrive storage.

Verizon said it is offering $25 worth of Windows Phone apps with a Lumia 928 purchase for a limited time.
