Verizon 4G LTEVerizon has announced that on June 16th its 4G LTE network will be expanding into more locations in the United States.

Despite some down time last month, the Verizon 4G LTE network has met with a lot of positive press for its super fast mobile speeds.  The only issue has been the fact that it has been limited in the number of locations it was available in.  The carrier has promised more roll-outs through out this year, and it’s making good on that promise with more cities firing up the towers on June 16th.

The cities that can expect the service at that time are:

  • Dayton and Springfield, OH
  • Erie, Harrisburg and State College, PA
  • Flint, Grand Rapids, Lansing and more of Detroit, MI
  • Fort Wayne-Indianapolis, IN
  • Greenville-Spartanburg, SC
  • Hartford, CT
  • Madison, Milwaukee, Racine, Kenosha, WI
  • Milwaukee, WI
  • Salt Lake City, UT
  • Sioux Falls, SD

Considering how the company is releasing more devices that will take advantage of these speeds, the more cities with it, the better for consumers.

More cities are expected to be announced through out the year, but no word yet on Lost Springs, WY.  (I’ll give you the punchline, it’s the only town in the United States with a population of 1.)

Is LTE coming to your area in this launch?  Are you excited?
