Droid Razr MaxxVerizon Wireless on Tuesday announced the newest addition to its 4G LTE lineup, the Droid Razr Maxx, will be available January 26 for $299.99 on a two-year contract. But we already knew that. If you were hesitant to buy last year’s Razr because of poor battery performance, the Droid Maxx promises to address that issue ten-fold – Maxx Users can expect to get more than 21 hours straight on a single charge. For a device that packs 4G LTE in an 8.9mm frame, that’s mighty impressive. Of course, mileage will vary depending on how much you talk, text, play games, etc.

The Maxx comes equipped with a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, Android 2.3.5 (upgradeable to Android 4.0), 4G LTE, 8 megapixel camera with 1080p HD video recording, 16GB on-board memory (microSD expandable to 32GB) and 3300 mAh battery.

Verizon Wireless has been very aggressive with its 4G roll out; the company currently covers 200 million people in 195 markets, so chances are, your town is covered, or will be soon. The Droid Razr Maxx sounds like the perfect smartphone to take advantage of the next-gen speeds. Who knows, maybe you’ll see Steve Wozniak in line at your local Verizon store.
