Verizon Wireless just announced that it will begin offering the Motorola DROID RAZR HD and the DROID RAZR MAXX HD on Oct. 18 for $199.99 and $299.99, respectively, with a new two-year contract. The phones are both equipped with 4.7-inch displays, NFC, 8-megapixel cameras, 1.5GHz dual-core processors, 4G LTE support and more. They also feature a water-repellant nano-coating that prevents against light spills. The devices are identical for the most part but the DROID RAZR MAXX HD features a battery that's rated for up to 32 hours of use and features 32GB of storage instead of just 16GB. We're not so sure we'd drop $100 for a larger battery and expandable storage (a 16GB microSD card is pretty cheap), but if you need your smartphone to last more than a day then the RAZR MAXX HD is your best bet.
