iTunes recently reviled their new Christmas celebration promotion, and if past years are anything to go by, it’ll be a good one. They’ve announced their latest ‘12 Days of Christmas‘ celebration, with 12 free iTunes downloads on offer each day between the 26th of December and the 6th of January.

iTunes 12 Days of Christmas Promo

What’s strange about this particular promo is that it isn’t available to iTunes users in the US of A. That’s right, only UK, and a hand full of EU residents are able to get their hands on what would be paid content, free of charge for 12 glorious days.

It’s essentially a campaign to encourage users to interact with iTunes through their Facebook presence. Interestingly enough, Apple have consistently encourage users to engage their Facebook profiles, yet have made no attempt to create a presence on Twitter. It’s interesting because based on user statistics, Twitter is a much better platform for interaction and engagement. Though having said that, Facebook is nearing that 400 million user peak, and it has much better native monitoring tools.

What, if anything, do you think Apple has in store for its US customers?
