Nokia Sabre

We're excited about Nokia's debut Windows Phone handsets, but with the way things are going at the moment, we won't have to wait until Nokia World to see what they look like. We've already seen the Nokia 800 — previously codenamed the Sea Ray — in leaked promotional posters and press images, and today we get to see the Nokia Sabre out in the wild.

The Sabre is the second Windows Phone handset we've seen from Nokia so far, and based on its rumored specifications, it looks to be one of the most exciting. Although it doesn't feature an 8-megapixel camera like the Nokia 800, it does boast a 1.4GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, a 3.5-inch WVGA display, and a 5-megapixel camera. It sports a price tag, according to the source of the image, of between €300 and €500 (approx. $412 — $687).

The photograph was obtained by Pocketnow, which says this is still a prototype device. That means it may not look exactly like final product that is brought to market. In my opinion, however, that's a good job.

I love the look of the Nokia 800, and while the Sabre's internals seem pretty attractive, it looks a little ugly on the outside. I'm usually a big fan of white phones, but this image makes the Sabre look a bit cheap, I think.
