Samsung has been really good about updating its most recent devices to Android Oreo. Just last month, the update arrived to carrier versions of the Galaxy S8, S8 Plus and Note 8. Today the update is rolling out to unlocked versions of the S8 and S8 Plus.

According to Android Police, many users have begun to receive the update for their Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. The update brings a bunch of new features like updated Bixby, new emoji and the wide array of features Oreo adds.

Samsung previously promised that all S8, S8 Plus and Note 8 devices would receive the update by mid-April and it is coming through with its promise.

Getting updates to Android devices is a notoriously difficult task. Samsung managed to roll out the update to the carrier versions but unlocked versions of its devices proved to be more difficult, hence the delay.
