U.S Cellular has announced plans to launch its own 4G LTE network. The company made the official announcement yesterday, with the service expected to launch in select cities by the holidays. The first cities named include: Milwaukee, Madison and Racine, Wis.; Des Moines, Cedar Rapids and Davenport, Iowa; Portland and Bangor, Maine; and Greenville, N.C., with plans to cover at least 25% of the carriers network by the end of the year.

In order to use the new speedy LTE network, U.S Cellular customers will have to have a 4G-capable device. Currently the carrier has no such devices in its lineup; however, it has plans to add those as well.

Are any of you U.S. Cellular customers? What do you think about it adding 4G LTE coverage?
