We originally thought last year's Nexus 5 would be the last Nexus device we'd ever see, but a new rumor claims two new members might be added to the lineup. And these will be in addition to that HTC-made Volantis tablet we've been hearing (and seeing) so much about over the past several weeks.

According to a source speaking with Phone Arena, Google may introduce 5.9-inch and 5.2-inch Nexus devices this year—that would make it the first time the company has ever introduced two Nexus phones in the same year.

Apparently Motorola is testing a 5.9-inch and 5.2-inch Moto S, and which one is released will allegedly depend on how people react to the Moto X+1, which is rumored to also sport a 5.2-inch screen. Still with us? If Motorola does decide to release a 5.9-inch Moto S, then Google will reportedly repurpose the 5.2-inch iteration into its second Nexus device; the Nexus X is rumored to sport a 5.9-inch screen, by the way.

It's a little confusing, and seems to hinge on what Motorola decides to do. Motorola does have an event scheduled for Sept. 4, so we'll see how the public reacts when the phone is unveiled. In addition to the flagship Moto X+1, we might also see a 5-inch Moto G, which was uncovered in a huge leak just yesterday.

In any case, Android fans will find no shortage of great options this fall.
