Twitch just sweetened the pot to subscribe to its Twitch Prime service. Starting today, Twitch Prime users will get a free year of Nintendo Switch Online, a $19.99 value.
On the face, the savings aren't huge, but it does give you a chance to kill two birds with one stone as you'll subscribe to both Twitch and Nintendo Switch Online while only paying for one. Twitch Prime itself is part of Amazon Prime, so it costs either $12.99 per month or $119 per year depending on your payment plan.
The perk comes in a two-step process. Twitch subscribers can take the fist three months right away, and then after 60 days, they can claim the remaining nine months of service. Those on family memberships will not be able to take advantage of the deal. However, existing and new individual Nintendo Switch Online users can take advantage of the deal.
You'll get access to games like Metroid, Super Mario Bros., and more.
Nintendo Switch Online offers users online play, cloud backup, and the impressive and lengthy list of NES titles like Metroid, Super Mario Bros., and more.
The Nintendo perk is now available for all Twitch Prime subscribers. The deal will be available until September 24, 2019, and users have until January 28, 2020 to claim the additional nine months.
As a note, Twitch does warn that after the initial three-month trial, if not manually turned off, Nintendo Switch Online will automatically turn into a recurring $7.99 three-month subscription. Best keep that in mind so as to avoid the extra charges.
