Well, it looks like Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 is an absolute mess. After releasing yesterday, the Eurogamer team has put together a compilation video of a slew of awkward gameplay bugs and glitches. It’s hilarious for a few seconds, and then it just gets disappointing.

All of these bugs come after the massive day-one patch is installed. If you haven’t already heard, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 is a 4.6GB download. The day-one patch? That’s 7.7GB in size. The day-one patch is bigger than the actual game itself.

It seems not even the patch helped all that much, though word is that the game is entirely unplayable without the patch installed.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 was developed by Robomodo. This is the same studio that developed the horribly received Tony Hawk: Ride and Tony Hawk: Shred. It might be time for Activision to consider working with another studio for the Tony Hawk series.

Did you snag Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5? Is it as buggy as it seems in videos like this one?
