Here comes another phone from the nation’s third largest carrier. The wireless industry is getting rattled by T-Mobile’s continuous growth, and over the summer the company expressed serious interest in releasing in-house hardware. That finally happened with the Revvl, a phone offering modest specifications at a very low price. Now we have the Revvl Plus to bring better, more advanced qualities at a price that’s still easy on the budget.
You’re not getting anything flashy from T-Mobile’s latest phone. It’s simple, and nothing else matters. It has a large 6-inch display, two rear cameras, a big battery, and a clean version of Android. If you need a functioning phone on the cheap and you’re on T-Mobile’s network, this probably your best option.
The Revvl Plus features a 6-inch Full HD (1920×1080) display, an octa-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB with a microSD card slot, 13MP and 5MP rear cameras, an 8MP front camera, a 3380mAh battery, a fingerprint scanner, and Android 7.0 Nougat.
Pricing is set at $9 per month for 18 months with Jump on Demand or $8 down and $8 per month for 24 months with the Equipment Installment plan. T-Mobile CEO John Legere says it’s the right time to release branded devices because of rising prices for phones across all segments. The magenta-loving company points out that the Revvl released in August has been selling three times better than expected.
T-Mobile will begin selling the Revvl Plus online and in stores on Friday, November 17. It’ll be sold in a special black and magenta color scheme to match the carrier’s vibe, which is perfect for anyone who’s a T-Mobile customer that doesn’t wants something different than black or white.
