A second trailer for the upcoming live action reboot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has hit the Internet, giving us a quick look at some cool new footage. We get a pretty good look at Donatello and his many trinkets, and a skateboard even makes an appearance. Classic Turtles.

That oozy substance that essentially "created" our beloved reptilian heroes also has a big presense, ostensibly giving us a look at Shredder's secret experiments. Meanwhile, a quick cut of William Fichtner, dressed in full Shredder getup, also gets some brief airtime.

Having grown up watching the live action TMNT movies from the 90s, my opinion on a reboot is mixed. And, for that matter, having Michael Bay producing doesn't help any. The footage thus far looks pretty decent, though that could simply be the nostalgic part of my brain taking over. What little footage we've seen so far mostly has a darker tone, with some of that camp and charm yet to really show up. Part of what makes the TMNT franchise so fun is that it doesn't take itself too seriously, and has plenty of humor. We hope that hasn't been stripped in favor of pure action and drama.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is set to hit theaters on August 8.
