The Show has, pretty much since its inception, stood as the definitive baseball video game experience. Its fans are many, and its PlayStation exclusivity is a huge boon for Sony.
PlayStation 4 owners, and fans of the franchise in general, have been extremely curious about how MLB 14 The Show will look when it drops for Sony's newest console. Today, Sony's taken the wraps off the game and dropped a reveal trailer.
The PlayStation Blog handled the unveiling, and here's what they offered about what's been improved between over the generation jump:
On display are the completely rebuilt stadiums, the redone lighting engine (check out the self-shadowing at night), vastly more detailed crowds, grass and player hair rendered down to the last blade/strand, and much more. Plus, since all three versions of MLB 14 The Show (PS3, PS4, and PS Vita) support cross save functionality, anyone who already picked up this year's game will be able to easily carry their progress over to PS4 when it launches.
This year's version of The Show is already available for the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita. The PlayStation 4 variety will launch on May 6. Will you be picking it up?
