The dazzling Saygus V², which took CES by storm earlier this year, will be $549 when you pre-order the device next month. This is the same “Superman” phone that comes with two microSD slots, giving users the option to add up to 256GB of additional storage. That’s on top of the 64GB of onboard space—a whopping 320GB total, which is larger than some laptop harddrives.

You’ll actually have to register to even pre-order—that deadline is set for noon MST (11 a.m. PST) on Monday, Feb. 2; pre-orders then go live that night at 11:59 p.m. MST (10:59 p.m. PST) on Monday, Feb. 2. Folks who pre-register will get dibs on an additional battery and customized, replaceable glass screen protector. The $549 pre-order price is a limited promotion, which means the cost will eventually go up to $599 later in the year. Not a huge discount, but definitely welcome.

If you hadn’t heard about the Saygus until now, the device comes stuffed to the gils with specs, and is being hailed as the superphone of our dreams. I’ll let you be the judge of that.

In addition to its huge storage prowess, the device sports Kevlar and anodized brushed aluminum for extra durability, access to CDMA and GSM networks, a 5-inch 1080p display, a 21-megapixel rear camera with OIS (13-megapixel front-facing with OIS), Android 4.4.4., 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 chip, NFC, a biometric fingerprint scanner, 3GB of RAM and a 3100mAh removable battery.

Oh, and it also supports Qi wireless charging, comes with an IPX7 water resistance rating, and dual-band Wi-Fi. Pretty much everything you’d want in a phone is stuffed inside the V² (pronounced V-squared), though folks might scoff at the lack of a QHD display. Otherwise, it’s everything we’ve dreamed of, and more. It looks like a crazier DROID Turbo.

So now you have a price, along with a date to pre-order. It’s not quite in the OnePlus One range of affordability, but it still might strike the fancy of those who put a premium on specs. Because you have to hold your pre-order spot, it sounds like there won’t be very many units available when it launches. You can sign up to pre-order at the source link below.
