Get your sails hoisted and stomachs ready for the high sea. Nintendo has finally given an official release date to its HD port of the one and only The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. Nintendo fans can expect to take Link over the high seas on Oct. 4.

Anyone who is old enough will definitely remember the controversy surrounding the GameCube original after Shigeru Miyamoto revealed his new vision for the series. Hordes of angry fans hit the internet in disdain, decrying Nintendo’s “kiddy” approach to the typically dark fantasy series.

But Miyamoto scored the last laugh with the game proving to be one of the most endearing in the series thanks to its brilliant animation and genius facial expressions from Link. Now the classic is set to become even better with a fresh coat of paint and beautiful 1080p pushing it through your television screen.

Those who want to get their hands on both it and The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds should attend The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses concert in Seattle on Sept. 12, where both games will be available to play on kiosks.
