I have the feeling that The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes is quietly going to be a really, really good game. Goofy? Oh, absolutely. Still, it’s looking fun.

I had a chance to play this game at E3 with two other players. It’s a cooperative Zelda adventure, much like The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords.

That three player coop can be achieved locally through wireless play, online with friends and online with strangers. Now, there’s no voice chat in this game, but you will be able to communicate using a few emote buttons on the button of the touch screens.

The game packs 32 dungeons, which is a bit nuts.

This game looks bonkers, friends, and that has me super excited to give it a shot. Seeing Link in the absurd costumes and hearing about all of the potential for players to work together on tough puzzles makes me want it much more than I thought it would.

That trailer isn’t perfect, but this looks fun. The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes will release on October 23, 2015.
