After a few teasers, Lincoln Motor Company on Wednesday took the wraps of its all-new full-size Navigator, which the automaker says elevates “family travel to first class.” With support for wireless charging, USB outlets everywhere you look, and standard Wi-Fi, I’d say Lincoln is right.

The automaker is really trying to push its image of luxury and elegance with the new Navigator, which extends beyond the crest and to the overall experience. Customers who purchase the Navigator will gain access to the automaker’s personalized client service, providing standard pickup and delivery of your vehicle. A nice and convenient touch for busy CEOs.

The word opulence comes to mind when gazing upon the new model, which select journalists got a quick preview of at the Lincoln Experience Center in Newport Beach, Calif. on Tuesday. It’s still as big as you remember, with a twin-turbo V6 engine “projected to produce 450 horsepower.” There’s enough space to comfortably fit a family of seven—and room to spare for backpacks luggage, and anything else necessary for a family getaway.

Lincoln made it a point to draw attention to its star logo located on the Navigator’s grille, which will softly illuminate on select models. To further highlight the fact that you’re driving a Lincoln vehicle, the car will illuminate a “welcome mat” beneath the driver and passenger doors.

Sadly, there are no gullwing doors, which were featured in a concept first shown off by Lincoln at last year’s New York auto show. They would have simply been too impractical to include, though they looked cool as heck.

The car is outfitted with an enormous panoramic roof, six USB ports, four 12-volt power outlets, and a 110-volt plug. There’s also a wireless charger, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, and an available rear-set entertainment system, which offers passengers 10-inch adjustable screens. The automaker says these screens are equipped with technology that easily allows Android devices to stream wirelessly to the displays.

Each screen can display different content, too, so not everyone will be stuck watching Finding Dory. To further sweeten the deal, Lincoln has partnered with Sling Media so Slingbox owners can access their channels and content on the go. Because the Navigator has standard Wi-Fi, streaming shouldn’t be a problem.

The Navigator also comes with Revel II audio, with 20 speakers carefully placed throughout the SUV’s spacious cabin.

“When designing the Navigator, we put an emphasis on ultra-luxury touch points,” said David Woodhouse, Lincoln design director. “We took everything the client would see and touch, and made sure it would look and feel a little more exuberant, a little more indulgent and incredibly beautiful.”

From top to bottom, the 2018 Lincoln Navigator is a paragon of lavishness—but it’s a thoughtful update. It features speed-dependent adaptive lighting, “intrusion sensors,” and a personal profile feature that recalls driver preferences depending on what key fob is used. The vehicle also includes trailer backup assist, enhanced park assist, and adaptive cruise control for stop-and-go traffic.

For drivers, there’s a 12-inch configurable instrument cluster and a heads-up display, which will show information without distracting drivers from the road. And, according to Lincoln, the HUD can be seen even while wearing sunglasses.
