google-new-chromebook-vs-apple-macbook-airGadgets — and this applies to smartphones, tablets and laptops — can only differentiate so much in design without compromising form and function. Nobody wants a circular Nexus 7, or a hexagonal laptop for that matter. So, ok, the spectrum of what looks attractive, and what works, is shrinking because the sheer amount of devices is increasing by the day. Take Google’s new Chromebook for example, which is manufactured by Samsung. It’s definitely an intriguing product, one that fits within a specific niche for a very attractive price, and it looks niiiiiiice. But it looks so familiar. Like, soooo familiar. Cover the identifying brand name and, well, it gets awfully hard to discern between the two.
