Tesla Model X CES 2015-7

Tesla will apparently announce something on Friday, but it's unclear what. The electric car maverick said CEO Elon Musk will grace us with something newsworthy, and it'll all go down at 11 a.m. PST (2 p.m. EST) tomorrow. What can it be? Well, we're not sure.

The company has been relatively quiet over the past few months, only peaking its head out to announce the Powerwall. It would make sense for Tesla to unveil more details about its new initiative, perhaps to share details about deliveries and the like.

However, Musk could use the event to discuss the Model X, which is expected to ship to customers later this year. If so, hopefully we'll see a final production model shown off, something the company has been working on for the past several years. On that same note, Musk might also discuss the Model 3, which rumors claim could be ready as early as next year.

The Model 3 is apparently supposed to be a small piece of an entire lineup of affordable electric vehicles. Tomorrow would be a good opportunity to detail its plans for the future, and show off what consumers have to look forward to down the road.

A final possibility is information about its Gigafactory. The company's Nevada plant is slated to get up and running next year, so maybe Tesla will use that momentum to announce another plant as it looks to build batteries for upcoming projects.

Whatever the company decides to talk about, we'll find out tomorrow afternoon. Anything you'd like to see?
