Temple Run from Imangi Studios arrived on Android devices earlier this week, and there was no doubt in my mind that it was going to become a huge success. But is has confirmed that today, with Google Play showing that the title has surpassed its first 1 million downloads within just three days.

With over 45 million downloads in seven months on the App Store, Temple Run is already incredibly popular amongst iOS users. And it seemed inevitable that it would have much the same success on Android. It got off to a great start, with 4- and 5-star reviews flooding in from Android gamers, and it continues to hold a 4.3-star rating after 43,000 reviews.

This morning, Google’s download tracker was updated to show that Temple Run had broken into the 1,000,000 — 5,000,000 downloads category following its release on Tuesday.

But it’s not all good news for Imangi. While Android gamers may be delighted to see Temple Run on Google Play, the company is still receiving complaints from users whose devices are not supported. But quite incredibly, according to Imangi’s co-founder, Natalia Luckyanova, Temple Run already supports 707 Android devices:

99.9% of support emails are complaining their device isn’t supported. We currently support 707 devices. Mindblowing.

I think that’s a testament to just how fragmented Android really is right now.

If Temple Run is supported on your Android device, what do you think of it?
