Temple Run, the incredibly addicting endless runner created by husband and wife team Keith Shepherd and Natalia Luckyanova, now has a sequel. And you know what? There goes your weekend.

The game is much of the same, with improved graphics, organic environments, more power-ups and different playable characters. It's a much needed oomph without changing the immensely popular formula. It looks just as addicting and wacky, now with a much more terrifying monkey.

The first Temple Run garnered more than 170 million downloads, so it's obviously a popular franchise. As far as free games go, it's one of the more entertaining, good for wasting time when waiting for an appointment or in between classes. The iOS version is already out—and currently the top free app—while the Android version is slated for a Jan. 24 release.
