Super Time Force appears to be an absolutely bonkers ride. This 2D sidescrolling shooter from Capybara Games, the same studio responsible for Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP and Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes, employs bullet-hell and time travel mechanics to get gameplay done.

Speaking of gameplay, Capybara’s debut gameplay trailer for Super Time Force checks in at well over six minutes in length, and you can view the clip in its entirety above.

From the music to the visuals and the premise, Super Time Force looks the right kind of nuts. The only catch? It’s an Xbox LIVE Arcade exclusive.

As is the case with a lot of Xbox LIVE exclusives, this platform limitation might only be temporary. We could see Super Time Force jump to machines like the PlayStation 3, Wii U, PlayStation 4 and PC in a year or so. Don’t give up hope just yet.

Xbox 360 owners will be able to enjoy Super Time Force sometime this year. No release date beyond “2013” has been offered up.
