1. Sony's NGP Revealed
Sony announced the successor to the popular PlayStation Portable in Japan earlier today. Sporting a 5″ OLED capacitive touchscreen display, dual analog sticks, front and rear-facing cameras, a gesture area on the back of the device, a quad-core processor, and a revamped user-interface, the device, codenamed NGP for Next Generation Portable, is slated for a holiday release.

2. The PlayStation Suite
Amongst rumors of the PlayStation Phone's imminent announcement, Sony unveiled the PlayStation Suite, a watered-down version of the PS Store that will allow Android-users to purchase certain pieces of content, notably PSOne Classics. Developers will be able to unleash the full potential of PlayStation controls through either an on-screen emulator or dedicated buttons, such as those we've seen on the Xperia Play.

3. Will the Nissan Leaf Start a Revolution?
In a world where oil dependence and geopolitics dominate international relations, it is no surprise that many American companies are attempting to help the nation attain self-sufficiency in energy production. Nissan's 100 percent electric vehicle, the Leaf, is an important step in this process. A comfortable mid-size sedan, it appears to be a practical solution to a growing pollution problem.

4. Magicka Explodes
It is rare that one sees rapid growth in interest for a game in a very short period of time, and this has become increasingly difficult with over-saturation of content across many platforms. Last year, we saw MineCraft, an indie-game developed in a weekend exponentially explode as an Internet sensation. Is Magicka the 2011 equivalent, having sold 30,000 copies in one night?

Netflix, the extremely popular instant-streaming service, announced that the company hit 20 million customers, a significant milestone in the evolution of the organization. Conversely, Hulu described that it planned to have less free content, an announcement that has received relatively negative feedback.

8. Android Attack
With the release of the Xoom coming in the near-future, Android 3.0 has been pushed to developers, giving us a nice look at what the new OS will bring to the table. Alongside that, the T-Mobile Sidekick 4G, running on Android, was spotted, revealing its manufacturer, Samsung.

9. The Daily Gets Dated
The Daily, a joint-venture between Apple and News Corp., is set to be pushed to iPads everywhere on February 2nd. The original launch date was pushed back due to synchronization issues between Apple and News Corp. to set up a new subscription-based service for periodicals.
