George Lucas, who sold Lucasfilm to Disney for $4 billion in 2012, thus officially parting ways with Star Wars forever, has shared his verdict of The Force Awakens. What did the father of this whole revolution think? Well, fans will love it.

This is his quote, via Vulture: “I think fans are going to love it,” Lucas said. “It’s very much the kind of movie they’ve been looking for.”

Gee, could he be any more unenthusiastic?

I can understand Lucas’s reluctance to expand on his feelings toward the project, especially with a new director in control. Although the prequels had their moments, they weren’t exactly beloved by the larger Star Wars fanbase—they’re actually being ignored by Disney for the most part. So now that a new movie is out, you can imagine how that makes him feel.

But, hey, even if George isn’t pumped on the new Star Wars, at least fans are going to love it.
