  • The title features a variety of new and familiar characters.

Respawn Entertainment on Saturday released the first gameplay trailer for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, which is set to arrive on November 15, 2019, for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Fallen Order is set to be a story-driven third-person adventure that focuses on Cal Kestis, a former Jedi padawan, who goes on the run from the Empire.

The lengthy gameplay trailer showcases several different aspects coming in Fallen Order, including a variety of Force abilities and plenty of new characters. One Force ability showcased by Kestis sees him slow down time almost to a halt. In one instance, he slowed down time with blaster beams in the air and moved a Stormtrooper into the beam, killing him.

Some familiar faces will also appear in Fallen Order, including Forest Whitaker's Saw Gerrera, who showed up in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. In addition, a new droid named BD-1 will accompany and assist Kestis on his journey.

Judging from the trailer, the gameplay's combat is similar to titles like God of War with a mix of Uncharted. As players gain more experience, they'll earn skill points that can be used to level up their character's abilities. It's unclear, however, what kind of new abilities are in the game.
