A year ago, not many people knew the name of Daisy Ridley. Now she’s one of Hollywood’s biggest rising stars. When you’re part of one of the most beloved franchises ever, your popularity has a tendency to rise, which is why today’s new isn’t much of a surprise.

According to Deadline, Ridley is currently being considered to play Lara Croft in the Tomb Raider reboot, which has been in and out of development for years now. The franchise was kind of left for dead a few years back but was given new life thanks to the release of the 2013 video game from Crystal Dynamics. With the character now back in the spotlight and with Ridley’s popularity through the roof, now’s the perfect time to bring Croft back to the big screen.

Ridley is still scheduled to appear in Star Wars: Episode VIII and Star Wars: Episode IX, so who knows if she’ll even have time to fit the movie into her busy schedule. If she does decide to take on the iconic role, I wouldn’t be surprised to see her involved in more than one Tomb Raider movie, especially if they’re anything like the recent video games.
