Staples isn’t selling the Galaxy S5 just yet, but if you wait just a few more days you can get Samsung’s latest flagship smartphone for AT&T or Verizon at a discount from the retail chain.
Starting on April 20, Staples will offer at least $50 off the Galaxy S5 (or the Galaxy S4) when you bring in an old, working smartphone. The company doesn’t specify what it defines as “working,” though that generally means the device still turns on and doesn’t have any visible screen damage. Staples also notes that it will match any competitor’s prices, including Amazon.
The Galaxy S5 comes equipped with a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED 1920 x 1080-pixel display, a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, a 16-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, a removable 2800mAh battery, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB or 32GB of internal storage with microSD support. Samsung’s new phone also packs a fingerprint scanner and a built-in heart rate monitor.
Samsung’s latest flagship smartphone is an impressive device with plenty of desirable features, including a new heart rate sensor and fingerprint scanner. We’re still putting the phone through its final paces, but we should have an official review up on the site in the very near future.
