Stan “The Man” Lee is, even at age 94, a busy guy, doing everything from creating new heroes to helping produce a new anime called The Reflection. Even with all that, though, he’s still managing to put in cameo time for each of the upcoming Marvel movies. During a panel at Wizard World Nashville, Lee appeared with his personal manager Max Anderson, who talked about those cameos.
“What we can say about Avengers: Infinity War is that he filmed both parts, one and two. We did Ant-Man, we did Black Panther. We did Thor, too,” explained Anderson.
For Marvel’s third phase, that leaves only Captain Marvel with a cameo yet-unfilmed.
Prolific doesn’t even begin to describe Stan Lee
Lee has been appearing as himself in comic-related media since the early 80s, when he narrated the populer Marvel cartoons. Since then, he’s gone on to make a cameo appearance in just about every Marvel movie to date, going as far back as the original X-Men film. He’s shown up in all six Spider-Man movies, all three Captain America, Thor, and Iron Man movies, both Guardians of the Galaxy movies, and both Avengers movies. About all he’s missing from are a couple of the X-Men movies over the years. The guy has 111 appearance credits on the IMDb.
Most of us can’t even hope to still be scooting around at 94 years old, let alone creating things and popping up in movies. And here’s Stan, still ready to cry “Excelsior!” and still excited to drop in on another Marvel movie.
