Bulletstorm and Gears of War: Judgment developer People Can Fly is back in the fold after announcing a brand new partnership with Square Enix. The two will be working together to produce a new AAA franchise for both consoles and the PC.

However, details are light at the moment, and People Can Fly was only able to announce the partnership itself, stating that the game would not be at E3 2017.

It's an exciting time. We've got a great and experienced team in place, and it's incredible to be working with Square Enix, a world-class publisher who shares our passion and excitement for the project.

Square Enix London Studios Boss Lee Singleton also commented on the partnership, saying that it was excited to be working with People Can Fly.

We're massively excited to be working with the talented team at People Can Fly in Warsaw, a studio filled with people who really know their craft," said Square Enix London Studios boss Lee Singleton. "We're building a game we all want to play which will be the perfect addition to our portfolio.

Square Enix's influence abroad continues to expand

I've said so many times, and this is just another perfect example. Square Enix is second to none when it comes to uniting the video game industry across both Japanese and Western audiences. With a steady flow of JRPGs from its Japanese studios and its ability to work with all of the Eidos companies as well as studios like People Can Fly, it has become the standard for how to bridge both the Atlantic and the Pacific Oceans.

For now, we'll have to wait for more on this new, exciting partnership.
