Windows-Phone-8-ApolloA Windows Phone Apollo device equipped with LTE is supposedly headed to Sprint this fall, with Qualcomm’s MSM8960 Snapdragon chip “confirmed” to be on board. According to SprintFeed, there is no OEM attached to the project, though Nokia has been heavily linked to bring the device to life, echoing a similar report from earlier this month. Sources familiar with Sprint’s LTE rollout plan also said the handset is slated to go through a number of tests in the next few months, pegging it for the distant fall timeframe and lining it up well with Microsoft’s planned October Windows 8 launch. We wish we had more details on this one, but it looks like this is all for now. Hang in there Sprint customers, as it sounds like a pretty awesome Windows Phone Apollo device is on the way.
