Amazon Studios already has a few solid TV shows under its belt. Now the retail giant is turning its attention to feature length movies, starting with a new film from Spike Lee.

The company confirmed rumors on Wednesday that it’s teamed up with the celebrated director for his new film Chi-Raq. The movie was is set in Chicago and was filmed entirely in the city. It wrapped last week, though there’s no mention of when it will be released.

Chi-Raq stars a long list of actors ranging from Spike Lee regulars to lesser known faces. That includes Samuel L. Jackson, John Cusack, Angela Bassett, Nick Cannon, Wesley Snipes, Jennifer Hudson, D.B. Sweeney, Harry Lennix and Steve Harris. The lead roll is played by Teyonah Harris, who’s probably best known for playing a secretary on AMC’s Mad Men.

Earlier rumors suggested the film might also feature Kanye West, Common and Jeremy Piven, but it looks like none of these stars will be in the actual film. Still, Spike Lee seems confident that he has plenty of talent to work with.

“I’m honored to be part of the film that will launch Amazon Studios and to tell a story that is so important,” he said. “Please don’t be fooled by the title of Chi-Raq, this new Spike Lee joint will be something very special. We have assembled a stellar cast.”
