Marvel Studios has its hands full with Doctor Strange, Guardians of the Galaxy 2, and Thor: Ragnarok in various states of production, but it’s Spider-Man: Homecoming that has most fans salivating. After getting a glimpse of actor Tom Holland as a younger Peter Parker in Captain America: Civil War, fans are incredibly anxious to see him in action once again, and that’s exactly what they’re getting.
Images, via Twitter, have popped up from the set in Atlanta, giving us another great look at the web-slinger in action. When he’s not jumping on moving cars, the superhero is stopping petty crimes, like the theft of a bicycle. As the pictures show, both Spider-Man and the thief are wired up for the scene, suggesting a lot of the magic will take place in post-production.
There’s even a fun video of the scene taking place, which we’ve included below. Apparently, that’s a stunt double in the Spider-Man costume, not Tom Holland, but what difference does it make? We’re just excited to get a closer look at what’s happening on the Homecoming set.
We haven’t seen anything major come out of the film’s set. As in, no major plot points or bad guys. Michael Keaton is reportedly the movie’s main villain, but so far we’ve mostly seen Spider-Man take care of lower-level thugs; chances are these exchanges will make up a bulk of the movie’s action and humor.
Spider-Man: Homecoming hits theaters on July 7, 2017.
