Marvel has kept its post-Avengers 4 plans under wraps to such a degree, the only MCU movie we know is in active development is Spider-Man: Far From Home. Beyond Peter Parker’s sequel, we have little idea of what is happening next. The latest bit of news concerning Spider-Man’s second solo outing is the possible inclusion of two major MCU characters that have up until this point only been speculated to make an appearance.
In the past couple months, it has been heavily implied on social media and other outlets that Nick Fury and Maria Hill were going to be in Spider-Man: Far From Home even though Marvel has kept mum on the subject. However, the cat is officially out of the bag.
In new footage posted by a Reddit user, actors Samuel L. Jackson and Cobie Smulders are seen shooting scenes for the new Spider-Man movie as Nick Fury and Maria Hill. The scene does not spoil the plot for the movie, only showing the two characters walking down a walkway while receiving an important bit of news.
Filming for the upcoming Spiderman film in London. (NO SPOILERS) from marvelstudios
The news about their involvement in Spider-Man: Far From Home is pretty straight-forward, but this does spoil another Marvel movie—Avengers 4. It’s pretty much expected that many, if not all, dead Avengers who turned into dust at the end of Infinity War, including Spider-Man, Nick Fury and Maria Hill, will return, but the new footage assures us it will definitely happen.
Not much of a surprise there. We’re still expecting few extra twists in Avengers 4 that will make it a worthy follow-up to the crazy spectacle Avengers: Infinity War was. Soon after that, Spider-Man: Far From Home will swing into theaters.
