J.J. Abrams and his son Henry are teaming up with Sara Pichelli for a new Spider-Man comic. Simply known as Spider-Man, the first of the five-part series is set to be released in September.
In an interview with the New York Times, J.J. and Henry talked about how their story will bring introduce "different and exciting take on Spider-Man." The two also explained that the story will put the human in superhuman while Spider-Man deals with a deadly new villain named Cadaverous.
Specific story details are being kept under wraps, but fans can expect Mary Jane Watson to play a key part.
In addition to Pichelli drawing the characters, Dave Stewart will be responsible for coloring.
J.J. Abrams is best known for directing movies like Super 8 and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, but this is the first time he's written a comic. We can't wait to see how Spider-Man turns out when it releases in September.
