Sony is really doing a great job painting PlayStation as a friend of the indie gamer. Sony now sports the most friendly atmosphere to get games published on the console scene, and cross-buy options even take most of them on the road with the PS Vita.
1,000 developers have been licensed to develop for all three major PlayStation platforms, and over 20 million of 21 self-published games have been sold so far, an attach rate of 3%. Outlast and Don't Starve have both broken a million each, and are about to be joined by a handful of more recognizable titles.
