is now 100% official. We've got the facts to prove it.

The phone will ship to the US first, this March, and it will be available on the Verizon network. There are no pricing details available. The device will sport Android Gingerbread and is the first phone to be PlayStation certified. It's got a touch screen (480 x 854 at 4″), traditional PlayStation buttons and two gesture based nubs (sure, we'll call them nubs) in the slide-out portion of the phone.

Sony rolled out a small roster of third party companies that are supporting the gaming platform. Among them were companies like EA, Activision, Gameloft, Trendy Entertainment and Fish Labs. Where software is concerned, the device will come with a to be announced PSOne title and there will around 50 titles at launch. Sony also confirmed some franchises for the device, but they did not indicate launch windows for the games: Dead Space, Assassin's Creed and Guitar Hero were among those that were announced.

Wait, Guitar Hero?! I thought that was dead. Speaking in nothing more than guessing terms, one would have to assume this Guitar Hero title is a port of some kind.

Is this the killer gaming device you've been looking for? Will it sway you from your current phone? Or will it go the way of the N-Gage. Let's hope it doesn't.
