Yesterday, Sony revealed plans to announce a new Xperia product on Monday, August 3. Now the company’s released a second Twitter teaser with a little more information.

Either Sony is being extremely subtle, or the new Xperia will be available in gold. The new color option wouldn’t really come as much of a surprise. Other companies like Apple and Samsung already offer gold-colored phones, and the strategy seems to work. The news also lines up with the first Twitter teaser, which showed a golden surface but focused on offering “split-second photos.”

We’re still expecting Sony to use next week’s event to unveil the Xperia C5 Ultra. The device has already leaked a few times, revealing a bezel-less design and some pretty solid specs. That includes 13-megapixel cameras in front and back along with a 5.5-inch 1080p display, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage.

Overall the Xperia C5 Ultra is looking like a pretty sweet device, and the option to pick one up in gold can’t hurt either. We just hope whatever Sony ends up unveiling next week can live up to the hype.
