Sonos announced Boost this week, a new Wi-Fi network component, that promises 50 percent greater wireless range than its existing Bridge device. The wireless network hub retails for $99 and boasts three internal antennas that “neutralize any interference from other consumer electronics.”

It appears at this time the Boost is a juiced up version of the Bridge ($49), perfect for users where the Bridge just doesn’t cut it. Of course you can always plug Sonos devices directly to your home router, but with multi-room setups it’s all just so much easier to utilize the Bridge or the Boost.

Boost is available now at Sonos.com and select retailers.
