Last week saw the Xbox LIVE Arcade Marketplace and Sega dropped several screenshots and game information for the second episode of Sonic the Hedgehog 4. Today, courtesy of Gamespot and, we have more than a minute long trailer of in-game footage.

One of the chief complaints from diehard Sonic fans when it came to Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode I was the way the game played. Sonic moved differently than he had in the past, sometimes in broken fashion, and that lead to a rebirth of the beloved 2D franchise that didn't feel like the games of old.

Sega, Dimps and Sonic Team have created an all new engine for Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode II. While the trailer above certainly doesn't properly demonstrate how well the new Sonic moves in this upcoming game, fans like myself are getting the sense that the title will play better than the first episode in this sequel.

Plus, Tails makes an appearance. We'll learn more about his play in this upcoming game and how it will relate to Sonic. As more comes, including a final price point and release date, we'll have it for you.
