We had suspected that the Android Jelly Bean upgrade was just around the corner for the Motorola Xoom, but we're still surprised to hear that some users are already receiving it so soon.

Motorola — now owned by Google — is now pushing out the Android 4.1.1 update over-the-air, according to The Verge, but it hasn't actually made any official announcement. Neither has Google, which leads us to believe this could simply be a limited rollout before the software actually goes out to every user.

What's interesting is that not every user who has received the update so far is part of the Motorola feedback program, which gives users early access to software updates. So it's certainly possible that your Xoom could be next on the list.

The Xoom is one of just a few Android devices that have already received Jelly Bean in the United States, following updates to the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and the Nexus S. If only all vendors were as speedy as Motorola.

Have you received Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean for your Motorola Xoom yet?
