It’s crazy to think Solo: A Star Wars Story is coming to theaters in just three months. After parting with directors Chris Miller and Phil Lord with just a few weeks left of filming, director Ron Howard has come in to rescue the project.
So, how has he done? Based on this short teaser, it’s tough to tell if the film will live up to fans’ lofty expectations, but I don’t think anyone can argue that it looks very intriguing.
Unfortunately, it looks pretty devoid of Miller and Lord’s fingerprints, with virtually no lightness or humor to speak of. Which is ok! But it may be representative of just how much Howard had to do when he was brought onboard.
If anything else, Donald Glover looks positively glorious as Lando. A longer trailer is expected to hit tomorrow.
Solo: A Star Wars Story hits theaters on May 25.
