Update: We heard back from the PR rep. The developers know about the issue, they’ve already fixed it and Nintendo Switch owners will see it in a patch “coming very soon.” Good news, because I’m loving the game.
Original Story: I’ve been playing Snake Pass (an otherwise brilliant game) on my Nintendo Switch over the last day or so for review. I noticed something last night when I pulled my system out of its dock to play the game in bed. The rumble is obscenely loud.
So loud, in fact, that I initially thought it was a sound effect. No, it’s not, it’s just that loud. I went ahead and recorded a video of my Nintendo Switch producing these loud rumbles, complete with an awkward prop system for my phone. Here’s that.
Has anyone had this happen? Am I alone? Is my Switch only broken for this game? The rumble sounds just fine with other software like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
We’ve reached out to the developer of Snake Pass through the PR firm repping them. If we hear back, we’ll update this story. For now, sound off, is this happening to you?
