While the youngest among us (and, perhaps, those who refuse to give it up) don costumes once a year specifically to score heaps of candy, the heroes in the Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time world do so in order to earn special abilities, puzzle solving tools and area accessing features.
The brand new Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time trailer from Sony and Sanzaru Games shows off a few of those costumes in action. Make sure to ratchet the clip up to an HD setting, as those toony graphics like great with a higher resolution.
This may be Sanzaru’s first attempt at an original Sly Cooper title, but the company was responsible for the HD remake of Sucker Punch’s original Sly Cooper trilogy for the PlayStation 3. They’re quite familiar with Sly and his cohorts, and that gives me hope for the potential of this new entry.
Finally, Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time is part of the cross-buy program Sony’s got for the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita. Buy the game for the PS3 and you’ll get a free copy on the PS Vita. Even better, you’ll be able to save to the cloud and pick up where you left off on either device.
Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time will launch on February 5th, 2013.
