Shadow of the Eternals is a game that's currently in pitch and money raising form. Precursor Games, a new developer formed from veterans in the industry, are independently crowdfunding this spiritual successor to Silicon Knights' Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem.

Hot off the presses from Precursor's internal PR machine is a nine minute gameplay trailer of this potential PC and Wii U title. The engine behind the visuals is none other than CryEngine 3, the muscle behind Crytek's Crysis 3.

With a lofty goal of $1.5 million, Precursor Games has only been able to raise around $150,000 since starting their funding efforts roughly a week ago. The money coming in from supporters has slowly stalled, and Precursor will likely have to push out more media to make things happen from here.

If Shadow of the Eternals does meet its funding goal, the game will release in an episodic format. Each episode will play for roughly two to four hours, and it will be action/adventure with horror themes.

Based on the gameplay video above, will you keep this game on your radar?
