President of HTC USA , Jason Mackenzie, on Monday sent out a tweet reminding folks that the newest version of Sense, Sense 6, will be out for the previous generation HTC One (M7) by the end of May. The latest upgrade to HTC's Android skin is currently powering HTC One (M8) devices, though users of the old aluminum beauty won't have to wait long before the updated skin is released. While we absolutely love the HTC One (M8), owners of last year's flagship shouldn't feel the need to run out and upgrade, especially with Sense 6 on the way.
In addition to Mackenzie's promise of a late May release, the executive takes a second to quip about HTC's Advantage program, which is essentially like insurance for HTC phones. Whether that's a shot at competitors, or merely a gentle reminder of why you should go with HTC is unclear. The real news here is that Sense 6 will soon make an appearance on HTC's other aluminum handset.
HTC has been known to miss target dates, so don't get your hopes up just yet. But if the company does manage to bring Sense 6 to the older HTC One in May, owners of the device won't have much longer to wait.
