We already heard it was being discontinued last month and the arrival of the OnePlus 5 is right around the corner on June 20. But it’s still sad to say goodbye to a fantastic phone that was only available for eight months. It wasn’t a big-time seller, but it was a kick ass phone with a gorgeous all-metal design and impressive specs buoyed by its absurd amount of RAM (6GB).

Such sweet sorrow but better things lie ahead.

OnePlus didn’t completely stop selling the OnePlus 3T—it’s still available in India and other South Asian countries, where it will continue to sell in an effort to cater to emerging markets. As for the rest of us, we’ll have to settle for the OnePlus 5, which is not the worst of fates.

OnePlus had an awkward release cycle with the OnePlus 3 and 3T. The OnePlus 3 was announced last June only to be discontinued once the OnePlus 3T arrived a few months later.

Now that the OnePlus 3T is officially behind us, we can look forward to the OnePlus 5. OnePlus already announced it will reveal its latest phone on June 20, but we pretty much know exactly what the phone will look like.

Nevertheless, we’ll bring you all the news from the announcement.
